All About Angle Vale Primary School

Angle Vale Primary is a middle-sized primary school located 14km west of Gawler. The school was first established in the late 1800s and was redeveloped in 1989 and again in 1996 due to growing township numbers. The school caters for children from Reception through to Year 7 (R-7).  There are approximately 390 students attending this year (2008).  Enrolment numbers are expected to rise above 400 students in 2009 due to new housing developments being built within the local community. New classrooms may need to be built to accommodate the increase in student numbers.

The school grounds are very spacious, well kept and environmentally attractive. The grounds are a shared facility and support local sporting clubs. The school facilities are the only venue available in Angle Vale to accommodate sport.  Tennis courts, cricket pitch, soccer / football oval, gymnasium and a community club room are located on the premises. A joint use agreement is in place between Playford City Council for the use of grounds, playing fields and gymnasium.

The school has an Out of School Hours Care facility that offers Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care to school aged children. This facility is also available to children who do not attend Angle Vale Primary.

The rural nature of Angle Vale Primary School  provides the growing community with a first class educational and recreational facility.  The school is rapidly becoming the hub of activity in Angle Vale.  It is attractive to staff in terms of teaching environments, resources and supportive school community.  The school provides a strong focus for the community that will become more cohesive through the increased use of the facilities and as local teams and competitions continue to emerge and develop.  The school currently has a positive ethos and is held in high regard by the community.  The growing enrolments and confidence in the school, will further strengthen its capacity to well serve its students and community in the future.
